If it has been more than 4-5 months and your status is still not updated, follow these steps immediately:

Step 1: Check the Status Online Correctly

First, ensure you are checking the right link. Sometimes the server is down.

  • Go to the IGNOU Assignment Status page.

  • Enter your 9 or 10-digit Enrollment Number and Programme Code.

  • Official IGNOU Status

Step 2: Email Your Regional Centre (RC)

If the status is not showing, you must send an email to your Regional Centre (RC). Subject: Assignment Marks Not Updated – [Your Enrollment No]

Email Format: “Respected Sir/Ma’am, I submitted my assignments for [Session Year] at Study Centre [Code] on [Date]. However, my marks have not been updated in the Grade Card yet.

Please look into this matter. I am attaching the receiving receipt/slip.”

Step 3: Visit Your Study Centre (Most Effective)

If emails don’t work, visit your Study Centre physically.

  • Take your Submission Receipt (Receiving Slip) with you.

  • Ask the coordinator to check the award list.

  • If they haven’t sent the marks yet, request them to send them to the Regional Centre immediately.
